Wadi Rum, also known as the Valley of the Moon, is a desert national park in Jordan with prehistoric inscriptions and rocky caverns. This rugged landscape of sweeping red sand dunes among massive mesas is where some of the Bedouins call their home. It's also been used as a set for several movies from the "Lawrence of Arabia" to "The Martian".
